Terms of service: ShareCTA

Terms of service

Last updated: 24 April 2026

By creating an account or using ShareCTA, you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose.

1. What ShareCTA is

ShareCTA is a hosted link-sharing service: you paste a public URL, add a branded CTA, and share a short link. Our service renders a copy of the page on our domain and injects your CTA.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for the security of your account credentials. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. What you can’t do

  • Use the service to share illegal content, malware, phishing links, or content that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademarks.
  • Share content behind paywalls when you don’t have the right to redistribute it. When a publisher opts out (see below), respect it.
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or target individuals.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quota caps, or authentication.
  • Scrape or abuse our API.

If you do any of these things we’ll disable your account without a refund.

4. Publisher opt-out

Publishers can request that their content not be rendered through ShareCTA. We maintain a blocklist that respects those requests. Get in touch with your domain to opt out.

5. Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are monthly, charged via Stripe, renewing until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Your active links keep working until the end of the paid period.
  • We don’t offer refunds on already-paid periods.
  • Prices may change; we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice for any price increase affecting an existing subscription.

6. Uptime + SLA

We aim for high uptime and we’ll do our best, but we don’t offer a formal SLA on any paid tier at v1. If the service is down for an extended period, contact us and we’ll sort it out.

7. Content ownership

  • You own the CTAs, account metadata, and analytics data in your account.
  • Page content rendered through ShareCTA remains owned by the original publisher. We don’t claim rights to it.

8. Service changes + shutdown

We may change the service, introduce features, deprecate features, or (in the worst case) shut ShareCTA down. If we shut down, we’ll give 30 days’ notice and help you export your data.

9. Liability

ShareCTA is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes are resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
